It has been announced by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha that the new terminal at U-Tapao Pattaya International Airport is likely to open in July 2016.

This new terminal will have the capacity to serve up to 3,000,000 visitors per year.

U-Tapao Pattaya International Airport is seen as a solution to the air traffic congestion at Thailand’s main two international airports; Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang.

U-Tapao Pattaya International Airport presently serves 800,000 passengers a year but this capacity will be greatly increased as the new 620,000,000 THB terminal can serve up to 3 million travellers!

Another positive move that will surely cement Pattaya’s reputation as one of the world’s premier tourist destinations.
