Notes and Comments on the Huay Yai area of Pattaya
Huay Yai was once an area of Pattaya that you drove past to get to Bangsarey.
But that is no more!
Huay Yai is rapidly becoming the place to live in Pattaya.
Huay Yai is located a within a 30-minute drive from central Pattaya, close to several beaches and offering good access to the international schools and industrial zones.
Great restaurants such as The Glasshouse and Bacco Beach and The View have appeared on the beaches of Na Jomtien, just a few minutes’ drive from Huay Yai; and now Huay Yai has its own Irish Pub; Kelly's Bar & Grill doing good western and Thai food. 
There are numerous local Thai restaurants and a large market on Huay Yai Road.
If golf is your game you will find Phoenix Golf Course and the 3 courses at Siam Country Club almost on your doorstep.
Convenience stores such as 7/11Family MartLotus Express and Mini BigC are now in the area. For larger food shopping Makro and Tesco Lotus are only a short drive away.
There are no banks yet in Huay Yai but most stores mentioned above have ATM machines.
