Notes and Comments on the Naklua / Wong Amat area
Naklua is to the north of Pattaya and starts at the Dolphin Roundabout and runs east and west of Naklua Road, and for our website as far as Sukhumvit Soi 16.
The west side of Naklua Road is regarded as Wong Amat (Womgamat) and has some of the best beaches in Pattaya.
Naklua / Wong Amat comprise single houses, pool villas, low-rise condominiums and high rise condominiums.
Naklua is also popular because it offers good access to the international schools and industrial zones.
There is a good selection of Local and Bi-Lingual schools in the area with the main international schools in East Pattaya being Tara Pattana International School and Regents International School.
There are numerous local Thai and German restaurants on Naklua Road.
Momm Aroi on Naklua Soi 4 is perhaps the most popular restaurant in Naklua, serving fresh seafood right on the ocean. Convenience stores such as 7/11Family MartLotus Express are now the area. For larger food shopping Best Supermarket is only a short drive away. There is a large Market in central Naklua and a daily Fish Market.
